I am excited to begin my first year as the principal of El Rancho High School. El Rancho High School has committed to Ensuring High Levels of Success for ALL Students. This shared belief will help us anchor all of our efforts. Our Vision ensures that all students have the I.D.E.A. IDEA IMPROVES literacy with Common Core, DEVELOPS global citizens, EMPHASIZES college and career readiness and helps students ACQUIRE 21st century skills.

This year our Instructional Theme is Ensuring High Levels of Success for ALL students. Our Instructional Theme will serve as the umbrella that everything we do as a school will fall under. As an Instructional Focus, we have chosen Assessment. Teachers will use five research- based strategies to assess student mastery of the content and skill being delivered in their classrooms. The chosen AVID Strategies are: Think-Pair-Share, Socratic Seminar, Marking the Text, Gallery Walks and Focused Note Taking.

In closing, El Rancho High School is keeping ERHS TRADITIONS alive while moving towards 21st century teaching and learning.
